About Us

Purpose

The Friendship Company Christian Preschool and Child Care Center is committed to providing quality early childhood education and child care to the community.  As a ministry of Central Christian Church we believe that children are precious gifts from God.  The Friendship Company will strive to meet the spiritual, social, physical, academic, creative and emotional needs of all children in a Christian environment.

Services

We offer preschool classes for children ages two through five years.  We also offer child care services for children ages six weeks through five years.

Childcare - Monday through Friday from 6:30am - 6:00pm.  Children may enroll for five days per week (Mon-Fri); three days per week (Mon, Wed, Fri); or two days per week (Tues, Thurs).

Pre-School Only - The preschool curriculum is inclusive with our childcare program however children who enroll for preschool only come from 9am - 2:30pm.  Preschool only students have the option of enrolling five days per week (Mon-Fri); three days per week (Mon, Wed, Fri); or two days per week (Tues, Thurs).

Goals

• To introduce children to the love of God
   

• To provide a Christian atmosphere in which children can develop a positive self-image
   

• To provide a safe environment where children can develop their gross motor skills and coordination by running, jumping, climbing, lifting, pushing, and pulling
   

• To help children develop fine motor skills by giving them the opportunities to practice with things to put in, take out, match, fit, connect, and disconnect.  The environment will provide developmental materials such as manipulatives, puzzles, pegs, play-dough, beads, etc.
   

• To help children develop in the areas of language arts and math through interaction with peers and adults, through classroom libraries and writing centers, story telling, self-expression (puppets, dramatic play), games, letter, number, and name recognition, sequencing, patterning, sorting, calendar time, and expression through show & tell  
   

• To help children develop social concepts through socio-dramatic play such as housekeeping, dress up, blocks, field trips, games, mealtimes and free-play
   

• To provide children the opportunity to express themselves creatively through experimentation, discovery, music and art. Children will learn about basic colors and shapes through painting, coloring, cutting, cluing, play-dough and sand/water play.  Children will learn to control the medium and feel the satisfaction that comes with creating something that is uniquely their own.
   

• To provide children with the opportunity to explore the world around them through experiences with science and nature.  The more young children know and understand about the world God made, the more independent and confident they can become.  Learning about seasons, weather, bodies, senses, health and nutrition are all a part of these concepts.
